Located just 3km from Ashbourne Town in County Meath and only 30 minutes drive from Dublin Airport, Stradane House is the perfect self-catering accommodation for those travelling in small or larger groups.
With 8 rooms located over 3 floors we can accommodate everyone from couples to families and groups of up to 7 people per room.
Some of our rooms are ensuite and all come with cable television. There's a large communal kitchen for those who wish to stay on a self-catering basis.
The house itself has large front and rear lawned gardens which are walled all around and just around the corner is The Fox Pub which is ideal for a few drinks and socialising with the locals. Local attractions include Ashbourne Town, Ashourne Cinema, Fun Galaxy and Tayto Park and just a short drive to the historic sites of Meath that include Newgrange, Hill of Tara and the Battle of the Boyne.
Tayto Theme Park in Ashbourne Co. Meath is a modern and well run activity park with an excellent programme of activities for all ages and is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Tayto have turned 55 acres of Meath farmland into an fun filled park which is one of the first of its kind in Ireland with over 100 attractions including Europe's Largest Wooden Roller Coaster - The Cú Chulainn Coaster. Other attractions at Tayto Park include zoo animals with tigers, monkeys, birds of prey and reptiles to mention a few. There are also activities such as their zip line, climbing wall, sky walk and 5D cinema.
The Boyne Valley is situated in the east of Ireland. It is at once Ireland’s ancient capital and it’s most sacred and mythical landscape. It's sites and monuments are amongst the best examples of their kind in Europe and are all within a short distance of each other. In one day you can visit the great prehistoric tombs at Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) and the site of the infamous Battle of the Boyne. You can look out from the Hill of Tara, sharing the view with the ancient High Kings of Ireland, or be mesmerised by the detail of the Celtic Crosses at Kells.
